how to make a ham and cheese toastie

Get some bread, ham and cheese.

Butter one side of the bread.

Put the ham and cheese onto the bread.

Put your bread, ham and cheese onto a toasted sandwich maker and toast it for  5 minutes.

Take it out and cool it until it is warm

Then have a nice cool ham and cheese toastie.

  1. Delicious, I love ham and cheese toasties. I do have a question for you? Which side of the buttered bread to you put the ham and cheese on? Do you put it on top of the butter or on the other side?? I usually do the other side so that the butter toasts on the elements and gets nice and crispy.

  2. I love toasted cheese sandwiches Ruby! You listened well to the instructions and remembered to start your instructions with a verb.

  3. Very clear instructions Ruby...I agree with Mrs O'Donnell, you remembered to start your instructions with a verb. Sometimes people like to see numbers on their instructions so they can keep track of where they are up to in the process. You don't want to forget to put on the "ooey gooey" cheese for your toastie. Hope you got to make one after writing these instructions so you could test it out? Mrs Fox
